Welcome to Stoats Class, our class page will be updated throughout the year with information related to our Key Stage 1 curriculum along with updates and photographs of the exciting things that we have been getting up to.
Hatton Country Park
The children had an amazing time at Hatton Country Park and did not want to leave! During their visit, the children spent time learning about different animals. They were very excited about their time at Hatton, with their highlights being seeing the new born lambs and holding the guinea pigs. Some of the children were very brave and took the chance to experience the large drop slides at the indoor play area.
English
In English the children have been exploring a different book each week and look at different sentence types.
We take the children on a journey through the book, we explore the front cover of the book and notice as much as possible. We create predictions and while reading explore new volcabulary in context. We look at creating word banks and exploring many adjectives within our writing.
We create many different descriptive sentences within our writing and look at extending our sentences with different conjunctions. The children have created wonderful descriptive sentences and enjoyed looking at a new book each week.
